Our Students and Their Needs
All of our students have a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition. However, our students also have multiple co-occurring conditions meaning they have complex profiles.
Our students have significant variances in communication and sensory needs. They are all different.
Many of our students have some mainstream school trauma. Our school provides many things that a mainstream school cannot. School is still hard for many, but we work hard to tailor and support their wellbeing wherever we can.
“LVS Hassocks’ integrated therapy programme, in particular, has been life changing and will be forever grateful for the insights and support.”

The Classroom and Beyond
We work with our students at functional and holistic levels. In other words, we aim to support them not only in coping with the classroom but also with their independence, life skills, relationships and the things that matter to them generally.
Students have a say at what they want to work on, as too do parents, or carers, and the therapist that works with them. This creates a bespoke therapeutic curriculum for each student. Being functional and holistic is at the heart of what we do here.
Due to the complex nature of the students at LVS Hassocks all our staff have specialist training. They also have lot of experience with young people with a primary diagnosis of ASD as well as co-occurring difficulties that accompany that diagnosis.
