Yesterday (7th July) our Year 8 students had the wonderful opportunity to visit Edwards Vacuum (Global Technical Centre) who are part of the Atlas Copco Group in Burgess Hill. The students got the chance to see all the amazing work that they do in manufacturing vacuum and abatement equipment.
The day consisted of a tour of the grounds, lots of demonstrations and 3D painting! The students found the day incredibly interesting and were inspired by the values they adopt when it comes to sustainability and minimalizing the negative environmental impacts.
One of our teachers, Cecily English delivered a talk on neurodiversity to the organisation and as a result we were able to visit as part of a our STEM work.
A huge thank you to all the staff involved in making this event so special!
